職位描述

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.Environmental
Leading and fostering a culture of continual environmental improvement across all Swire Pacific Cold Storage ( SPCS) sites through a day to day environmental focus effective leadership of environmental priorities. e.g. obtaining ISO 14001 status & OHAS 18001.
Monitoring key environmental issues and impacts and effectively ensuring that the SPCS Managers are kept informed of incidents or issues which may adversely affect the company’s reputation or lead to legal proceedings.
Giving high priority to environmental policy compliance and delivering on the corporate environmental plan and goals.
Ensuring that SPCS complies with all applicable environmental standards and performance and legislative requirements.
Analyses any business processes to identify problems and opportunities for developing strategies for environmental improvement.
Liaising with our technical teams to ensure that we identify and minimize the potential environmental risks from our products and operations.
2.OHS Leadership and Culture
Developing a national Environmental Health & Safety strategy designed to position SPCS at the forefront of Environmental Health & Safety in China.
Providing advice and support to Managers nationwide and the Executive HO team on Health and Safety issues, ensuring that Managers receive timely advice and support in the interpretation and understanding of the Health and Safety Legislation.
Leading the development and delivery of Health and Safety training and certification (as identified in the Health and Safety Plan) and providing proactive advice to managers on training providers.
Advising Managers and Supervisors on Health and Safety implications of new equipment/facilities prior to implementation.
Establish appropriate national EHS KPI’s and manage the ongoing continuous improvement program
Acting as an advocate for the SPCS Safety Culture programme and role model required behaviours
3.Health and Safety Management
Designing and developing systems to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, as a minimum.
Maintaining familiarity with changes and developments in Health and Safety legislation and practice, effectively communicating and implementing changes to existing systems as required.
Inspecting and auditing BU’s to ensure compliance with SPCS’s Health and Safety management system.
In conjunction with the DGM, prepare the annual health and safety plan and budget.
Supporting the development and implementation of divisional health and safety plans and ensuring the accurate reporting and recording of all health and safety incidents, near miss and hazards in a timely manner using company procedures and systems.
Co-ordinating reward and recognition systems and programmes i.e. quarterly LTI recognition and annual Safety Awards.
4.Accident and Incident Management
Ensuring investigations are carried out for all near misses / incidents / accidents nationwide and corrective actions are implemented to manage future risk.
All serious harm incidents are thoroughly investigated as per company procedures.
Timely liaison with regulatory authorities (e. Safety Bureau) occurs for serious harm accidents. A report is issued to the DGM outlining recommended actions within seven days of the event.
Preparing near miss / incident and appropriate injury prevention initiatives are put in place accident statistic reports for management on a monthly basis in time for the Oceania management meeting.
Regularly analysing near miss / incident and accident reports received and ensure appropriate injury prevention initiatives are put in place.
5.Injury Management
Establishing, monitoring and maintaining systems and processes required to meet and satisfy audit and compliance requirements.
Supporting the HR managers where required with regards to the active management of staff on work related injuries.
Evaluating occupational service provider contracts annually in conjunction with the HR & DGM.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years work experience within warehousing, distribution or manufacturing environments at a senior business level. This position is open to all graduates however, the following key skills are advantageous:
Experience of environmental management, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001and managing environmental systems, policies and standards across an organization.
Experience in strategically managing Health and Safety systems, policies and standards in a large organization, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health and Safety. Knowledge
A sound knowledge of Environmental and Health and Safety legislation and standards and sound awareness of current legislation.
A good knowledge of effective injury management practices.
